BACKGROUND

The New York Automotive Diesel Institute, or NYADI, located in Jamaica, New York, is a school that prepares students to work in the automotive industry. The school gives certificates that are ASE certified and offers six different areas of emphasis.

The New York Automotive Diesel Institute gives students training in areas that can be completed in as little as one year. Students have the opportunity to choose from a master level or certificate level with many of the programs offered through New York Auto Institute.

Applicants can be as young as 17 and enroll in the school if they have parental consent (for those under 18). The only other requirement for enrollment is to have a high school diploma or GED. Students can attend classes on a full-time or part-time basis. Classes are always starting so there is no need to wait until the fall or spring semester as with some traditional programs.

The New York Automotive Diesel Institute is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. Financial aid is available for those that qualify, and career placement assistance is available to all students once they complete the program.

Beware of the reviews posted here on this forum. Most of the reviews from Cristian, dale Thomas, John and others are either fake or copy and pasted testimonals posted by the employees working at NYADI. NYADI school is censoring negative reviews to make sure that people reading the "good" reviews get a good impression, thus encouraging others to apply to NYADI. DON'T DO IT. Though I never enrolled in the school, I've been keeping an eye on NYADI for quite some time hoping to enroll. Unfortunately there has been several reviews about NYADI lack of quality instructors, poor learning environment, and dirty facility. There was once a review section on their Facebook page and there were several negative reviews posted about the same thing I explained earlier. NYADI later removed their review section out of their Facebook page to censor the negative reciews. Also, NYADI seemed to censor the earlier reviews posted on this forum. If you're reading this, please do your research before enrolling in this school. The reason is because NYADI is censoring negative reviews to avoid being seen by the public and that's very wrong on their part. Everyone deserves to find out for themselves on whether or not enrolling would be worth their money and reviews should never be censored regardless. posted Sep 4th, 2017 2:54 am

I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that I Sterlin Emile have completed all my requirements. I started with partial experience in automotive, with no experience in diesel. Entering and completing the program I have learned a whole lot more about automotive and diesel program. I am very thankful I made the right choice of coming to NYADI.

Now I am pretty confident to go into the work force with the experience which I have learned at NYADI. And now with my experience I can refer as many people as possible to diesel and automotive program. Let me take the time to thank the administration staff and recruiter staff, teachers and custodian staff for making NYADI a true experience. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. May god bless and keep everyone of you in Jesus Name. posted May 17th, 2017 2:56 pm

My name is Dale Lamont Thomas, I am 46 yrs. I retired from the United States Army after 20 years of honorably service. I enrolled at New York Automotive and Diesel (NYADI) in December 2015. NYADI have a professional structured program from the administration staff to the instructors. The instructors here at NYADI, are teaching the need-to-know, for the students to be employment ready once we have successfully completely our selected course of study as required. I have learned a lot of automotive knowledge, safety techniques and how to properly use tools that will last me a lifetime. I have learned things about myself that I can improve on, that will make me a better person for the job that I choose. Here at NYADI, I have also learn, how to be on time for class and conduct myself like a professional. I have worked on team builder and build an excellent communication skill with my instructors and other students as well. NYADI has been an awesome experience for me to learn how to apply myself and stay focus. Before attending NYADI, I had no automotive knowledge and understanding on how to do things the safe and right way. NYADI you have taught me that "Tomorrow is promise to those who prepares themselves today!" posted May 17th, 2017 1:55 pm

I went to this school, got trained and got a job making great money after. You get what you put into it. If you come to school to learn they will help you learn. All these people making all these negative comments, one went there to take up space wanting things to come to them without putting in the work. Excellent School for the price I pay. posted Apr 13th, 2017 9:47 am
